The testing of the law

The End of Life Choice Act and ‘assisted dying’ have been riddled with controversy from their conception and will continue to draw battles in the courtrooms. Prior to the Act, there have been individual cases of people contesting their rights to access euthanasia, and doctors being investigated for illegally administering it. With the EOLC Act coming into operation more legal rows are to be expected as boundaries and interpretations of the legislation will come under fire.
